This Continuing and Professional Education Programme, Leading Transformation to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aims to provide learners with a functional knowledge of the fundamentals and concepts of leadership and transformation to design, monitor and execute inter-sectoral development projects and programmes. With the acquisition of this knowledge and skills learners will be in a position to lead focused, high-performing teams and apply sound results-based management principles within the framework of the 2030 development agenda. By building a cadre of professionals trained in transformational leadership and the delivery of results based on the PEMANDU methodology, this course will help to correct implementation deficit challenges, and thereby, build stronger and more sustainable institutions in the Caribbean.

This course aims to support UWI Research Supervisors in appreciating and applying the key principles and practices of research supervision for doctoral and master's students across the lifecycle of their research. It involves actively considering, being able to make decisions about, and enacting and reflecting upon the effects of appropriate supervisory actions (directions, guidance, interventions) to support a variety of research students through their research journeys.
